You’re serious about your business and desire to have a serious web presence. Now what?!
EVE’s clients have understood the difference in quality between using free website platforms verses a reputable agency. The solution is providing education to clients about interconnections with all things web. We meet with the client initially to gather requirements then we support them by preparing a quarterly analytics report.
EVE outlines three tips to point clients into the right direction:
Tip 1: Choose a platform that gives you freedom: One mistake start-ups and small business owners often make is creating their business pages using free websites. The issue with free websites is that they have limitations. Not to mention you will usually have unnecessary ads which looks unprofessional.
Tip 2: Understand content strategy. Develop a plan for website copy, blogging and your social media voice. You can discuss what you are doing day-to-day or what you’ve been working on for a few months.
Tip 3: Get your ‘coming soon’ website up, before your business is ready to launch. Search engines can take up to three months to crawl your website.
EVE Founder, Eva Cristescu, discovered a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) issue regarding one client who needed help. Her website was not indexed and search engines were not able to crawl her web pages.
“There is no secret to SEO. Your website should have well written paragraphs. Use key words that correspond to what the user would search for. If you have the right word combination, then your site will pull up as a search result. This is all SEO really means in laymen terms,” Cristescu said.
According to facts found on Websitesdepot.com, there are a list of pitfalls with DIY web design and SEO.
“Those who hire freelancers or nickel-and-dime overseas firms usually get no reassurance that the service follows proper SEO guidelines set forth by Google and other major search engines.”
EVE will equip clients with the right tools and education by empowering them to make the right choices for an Effective Virtual Experience.
