Being a strong visionary leader is key in creating a successful start up.
At EVE we help empower our clients with web products and ongoing support. However, knowing how to properly lead and develop your ideas is first and foremost.
EVE founder, Eva Cristescu, has been documenting her journey as a business owner with short video clips. Cristescu is experiencing the tips firsthand by learning how to channel emotions by properly communicating with the team as well as developing the vision to lead with a purpose.
“I think that channeling your emotions is highly needed with the constant bombardment of distractions from gaming, social media interactions, emails, and shopping. Just turn everything off until you get grounded in stillness, until you can hear what you should do. Your mission statement should be written and placed somewhere you can see every day. I write over the statement and cross out phrases that don’t apply and refine the mission statement every few months. This helps put into words what is in your heart. We created a solid intro video that brings together what the whole vision for EVE is and this reflects on the mission statement. Leading with purpose has been the most challenging for me as a beginner in the entrepreneurial game. But this has gotten more clear as I mediate and think of my vision. Learning so much daily,” Cristescu said.
The Inc.com article: “3 Simple Lessons From Steve Jobs on Becoming a Visionary Leader,” by Heather Wilde, is an insightful read on leadership. Three tips from Steve Jobs, Co-founder of Apple, are explained: Channel your emotions, articulate your vision and lead with purpose.
In the article Jobs stated to confront change to have a chance for true leadership.
“Once you have your vision, and the ability to clearly communicate it to others, the last thing you need is your ‘Why’. Under Steve Jobs, Apple was focused on producing well-designed, easy-to-use products This flowed easily from their purpose, which Jobs said was to remove the barrier of having to learn to use a computer. As entrepreneurs, we often choose to take on someone else’s purposes and fears and let that incite us. This leads to massive communication failure. However, if we want to have our best chance at success, we should first start with understanding ourselves better–and break this cycle.”
EVE wants their clients to have a vision, maintain it with persaverance and complete business goals. All of this can provide the most effective virtual experience.
