The Future Workforce: EVE and PXE teaming up in Ferndale, Michigan for Build It

March 19, 2018 6:00 am CDT

EVE will be going to Ferndale, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan (MI) to work with Pathway |x| Events, (or PXE for short), a workforce development and event design business committed to connecting companies, schools and families to industries in Michigan facing a talent and skills gap.PXE is owned by Melissa Wilson and Sarah Cook. Their business was born out of recognizing a need for businesses to fill talent gaps in their workforce and a desire to reach the ears, hands and talent of young people in their community. They focus on supplying experiences and resources for the future workforce in the industries of construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and energy and information technology. They also do event coordination for other companies.

As a fresh, small business that is also focused on helping other people, PXE is an example of an ideal business EVE works with. We worked with them on their branding to create a voice and character that suited their business values. We had a great time working with this Ferndale-based business. They are also working to establish their presence online with their company blog, featuring a recent post excellently explaining the business’s values.

Meet Faraj Nayfa. We are currently managing the social media of his restaurant, Hala In, located in Mayfair neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois. He is a seasoned small business owner of 11 years, and is busy with managing the restaurant.

Since he personally has no time or social media experience to curate an online presence for it, EVE has helped to start the foundation for an online following onInstagram and Facebook to reach customers Faraj would previously have missed out on.

It is important to recognize that social media marketing is becoming the new norm. While the start up of a social media strategy can be overwhelming, it doesn’t have to be.

While you focus on your passion of running your business, EVE is here to focus on our passion of helping you navigate the social media world and digital business.

EVE will be attending their showcase event, which will provide the 8th graders of Ferndale Middle School a hands-on exploratory experience presented by businesses and training centers in the construction industry. Through this, we plan to help PXE create a marketing plan centered on helping students choose pathways ideal to their career choices. If you are a small business looking to create a campaign to get your company going online, EVE is here to help! Stay tuned for our social media updates on the event. More information about Pathway |x| Events and their programs can be found on their website.
